Flange Types

Anchor Flanges

Anchor flanges are commonly used as a means of restricting pipe movement and distributing axial thrust of the pipeline throughout the foundation in which the flange is anchored.   (more...)

Anchor flanges are manufactured to your specifications or we can provide design service for your specific criteria.

The design conditions determine the overall size and shape of the finished flange. So in order to manufacture a flange that meets your design criteria, the following information is required:

  • Anchor Flange nominal pipe size and forging material grade (as with regular welding neck flanges, the grade of the flange can be less than that of the matching pipe, providing the nominal wall thickness of the flange is increased accordingly).
  • Matching pipe nominal size, grade, wall and bore.
  • Concrete Strength
  • Maximum-minimum seasonal operating temperature variation the anchor flange installation will be subjected to? (Also defined as "Design Temperature Differential").
  • Design Pressure
  • Design Factor? (Design Factor X Location Factor).
