Socket Weld

Socket Weld flanges are attached by inserting the pipe end into the socket and then welding at the flange hub. A weld on the inside at the pipe end can also be made to provide greater strength. A smooth bore transition can easily be attained (by grinding the internal weld) without having to bevel the flange face or to reface the flange after welding as would be required with slip-on flanges.

Tri-Lad manufactures Socket Weld flanges to the following Specifications.

  • ASME/ANSI B16.5
