Typically sizes are manufactured up to 110” but can be made even larger when required. Some common names for these items are “Girth Flanges”, “Anchor Flanges” and “Manway Flanges”. These items are often specialty designed flanges that are not dimensionally in accordance with any specification.
There are many applications where custom flanges have been designed and are required for applications where standard catalog flanges cannot be used.
Anchor flanges are manufactured to your specifications or we can provide design service for your specific criteria. The design conditions determine the overall size and shape of the finished flange. In order to design a flange, the following information is required:
▫Anchor Flange nominal pipe size and forging grade.
▫Matching pipe nominal size / grade / wall and bore.
▫Concrete Strength
▫Maximum - minimum seasonal operating temperature variation. (Also defined as ‘Design Temperature Differential’)
▫Design Pressure
▫Design Factor
